Setting Up Contact Lenses
AcuityLogic includes a set of preconfigured contact lenses. In AcuityLogic Admin, you can map and price the contact lenses to make them available in AcuityLogic POS. This section explains how to set up contact lenses.

To open the Contact Lens Mapping window
- Open the Products window. See Opening the Products Window.
- Click the Contact Lens link.
The Contact Lens Mapping window opens.
To map and price contact lenses
- Open the Contact Lens Mapping window. See To open the Contact Lens Mapping window.
- Search for the contact lenses that you want to map and price using the provided search criteria.
- Click Map Items for the contact lenses that you want to map and price.
The Items Mapping window opens.
- Select the Include check box for the contact lenses that you want to map and price.Deselect the Include check box if you no longer want to make a contact lens available in AcuityLogic POS.
- (Optional) Update the name of the contact lenses in the Company Item Name field.
- (Optional) Update the item group in the Item Group drop-down list. The item group is used for insurance calculations.
- (Optional) Update the default cost in the Default Cost field.To set the same default cost for all contact lenses in the Items Mapping window, click Set Default Price, enter the price in the Default Price field, and click Save.
- To allow the contact lenses to be sold without a price, select the Allow Zero Price check box.
- Click the Pricing link.To set the same price for all contact lenses in the Items Mapping window, click Set Cost, enter the price in the Cost field, and click Save.
The Pricing window opens.
- Enter the price for the contact lenses in the Price field and click Save.
To export contact lens information
You can export information about the contact lenses available in AcuityLogic to Microsoft Excel.
- Open the Contact Lens Mapping window. See To open the Contact Lens Mapping window.
- Search for contact lenses using the provided search criteria if necessary.
- From the Export PriceList drop-down list, select the price list to apply to the exported contact lenses.
- Click Item Export.
AcuityLogic exports the contact lens information to Microsoft Excel.
