Setting Up Eyeglass Lenses
AcuityLogic includes a set of preconfigured eyeglass lenses and lens attributes. The lens attributes include Lens Base Type, Material Addon, Style Addon, Color Addon, Tint, Edging, Coating, and Miscellaneous Extras. In AcuityLogic Admin, you can price lens attributes and map eyeglass lenses to make them available in AcuityLogic POS. This section explains how to set up eyeglass lenses.

The Eyeglass Lens window opens.
After you complete the Opthalmic Lens Pricing Worksheet provided to you by your implementation coordinator, you can price the lens attributes you want to offer in AcuityLogic Admin. Repeat the process below for all the lens attributes you want to price.
- Open the Eyeglass Lens window. See To open the Eyeglass Lens window.
- Select the type of lens attribute you want to update prices in the Item Type drop-down list.
All the available lens attributes for the selected item type display.
- Update the Company Item Name field for the lens attribute that you want to price, if needed.
- Update the item group in the Item Group drop-down list for the lens attribute that you want to price, if needed. The item group is used for insurance calculations.
- Do not edit the Cost field, as this field is not used in AcuityLogic Cloud.
- Click the Pricing link for the lens attribute that you want to price.
- If you are pricing Tints, Edgings, Coatings, and Miscellaneous Extras, you must select the Include check box for each item to map them to your practice before the Pricing link is available.
- To set the same price for all items in the mapping window, click Set Default Price, enter the price in the Default Price field, and click Save.
The Pricing window opens.
- Type the price per lens for the selected item in the Price field and click Save to close the Pricing window.
After you finish pricing the lens attributes for the eyeglass lenses that you want to offer, you can map the eyeglass lenses to make them available in AcuityLogic POS .
- Open the Eyeglass Lens window. See To open the Eyeglass Lens window.
- Select Eyeglass Lens from the Item Type drop-down list.
- Deselect the Included check box and click Find to show all unmapped eyeglass lenses.
- Use the Type, Material, and Style drop-down lists to search for eyeglass lenses by lens base type, material, or style.
- Leave the Included check box selected if you want to find mapped eyeglass lenses.
- Update the Company Item Name field for the eyeglass lens that you want to map, if needed.
- Update the Receipt Description field for the eyeglass lens that you want to map, if needed. The receipt description appears on receipts for this lens.
- Do not edit the Item Group field, as this field is not used in AcuityLogic Cloud.
- Do not edit the Cost field, as this field is not used in AcuityLogic Cloud.
- Select the Include check box for the eyeglass lens that you want to map.
- Select the Include check box in the Include column header to map all eyeglass lenses on the current page.
- Deselect the Include check box for an eyeglass lens if you no longer want to make it available in AcuityLogic POS.
- Click Save to map the selected eyeglass lenses.
You can export the details of the eyeglass lenses set up for an office to Excel.
- Open the Eyeglass Lens window. See To open the Eyeglass Lens window.
- Select Eyeglass Lens from the Item Type drop-down list.
- From the Office drop-down list, select the office for which you want to export details.
- To include partner mapping information, select the Export Partner Mapping check box, and select the partner from the Partner Mapping drop-down list.
- Click Export.The exported Excel spreadsheet includes the partner code columns, but the partner codes are shown only if you selected the Export Partner Mapping check box and a partner.
