Setting Up the SATO CX400 Barcode Label Printer

To set up the SATO CX400 barcode label printer

  1. Download and install the SATO Windows Printer Drivers from the SATO website.
  2. After downloading and installing the printer drivers, open the Control Panel.
  3. Open Printers and Faxes.
  4. Right-click SATO CX400 and select Printing Preferences.

    The SATO CX400 Printing Preferences window opens.

  5. Ensure that the Options tab is open and select the following settings:
    • No. Of Copies: 1
    • Speed: 2
    • Darkness: 1
    • Stocks: User defined
    • Paper Format: Inch, portrait, rotate 180°
    • Width: 2.10
    • Height: 1.70
    • All Unprintable Areas: 0.00
  6. Click the Advanced Setup tab and select the following settings:
    • Pitch Offset: 0.75
    • Cutter: Never
    • Format number: 1
    • Slot 1
  7. Click OK to save your settings.
  8. From the Printer and Faxes window, right-click SATO CX400 and select Properties.

    The SATO CX400 Properties window opens.

  9. Click the Printer Settings tab and select the following settings:
    • Printer Fonts: Printer default
    • Spool Format: Printer default
    • Line Substitution: Printer default
    • Command Separation: Number of zeros, 200
  10. Click OK to save your settings.
