Exporting General Ledger Transactions from AcuityLogic
You can export general ledger transactions from AcuityLogic BackOffice. After you export general ledger transactions, you can set up MAS 90/MAS 200 for general ledger exports. See Setting Up MAS 90/MAS 200 for General Ledger Exports.
To export general ledger transactions
- In AcuityLogic BackOffice, click Reports and select Accounting.
- Click General Ledger Summary (AC111).
- In the Source drop-down list, select a general ledger source or select ALL to export transactions for all sources.
- In the Office drop-down list, select the check boxes for the offices you want to transactions exported. All offices are selected by default. To select individual offices, deselect the Select All Offices check box.
- Select the Month & Year. The monthly close must be completed for the month selected.
- To show company-level totals for transactions mapped to each GL center, separated by source type, select the Get Summary by Account check box.
If you do not select the check box, the report provides information about the totals mapped to that GL Center for that source type per office.
- To exclude accounts with no transactions, deselect the Include Accounts with No Posting check box.Accounts with no posting are not included in the export file. Deselecting the check box excludes the transactions from the General Ledger Summary report generated and may help you reconcile the report against your export file.
- Click Generate Report.
AcuityLogic generates the report. This may take several minutes.
- Click Export to GL.
- When prompted, save the export file.
- You can view the export file in Microsoft Excel, but do not modify or save the file. Doing so will corrupt the structure of the data and render it unreadable by MAS 90/MAS 200 or other accounting systems.
- If the file does not appear when you click Export to GL, ensure that your web browser allows pop-up windows for AcuityLogic.
-
By default, AcuityLogic names the export file based on the current date and saves the file to your default downloads folder.
