Viewing Employee E-Time Records in AcuityLogic POS

You can view employee time records in E-Time in AcuityLogic POS. To configure an employee to generate E-Time records, see the section about adding or modifying employees in Setting Up Employees.

To view an employee’s E-Time records

  1. Open the Management window from the office that tracks E-Time for the employee. See Opening the Management Window.
  2. Click the ETime tab.
  3. In the tab, use the date field’s arrow buttons to specify the end date of the week whose records you want to view.
The Office field automatically displays the office you are logged in to. You cannot change that value.
  4. In the ETime Associates table, find the name of the employee.
If the employee’s name is red, his or her In/Out time entries contain an error (for example, an In entry might not have a corresponding Out entry). See Adjusting Employee E-Time Records in AcuityLogic POS.
  5. Expand the employee’s row by clicking the plus sign.

In the Etime Week subtable, the employee’s current hours are displayed:

    • Regular: Total adjusted regular hours up to 40.
    • OverTime: Total adjusted regular hours over 40.
    • Other: Total of all hour types except Regular.
    • Total: Total of all hour types.
If the employee has entered no time for the week, the subtable displays this message: “No child records to display.”
  6. In the Associate column, click the employee’s name link.
  7. In the Details table, review the following columns:
    • Day: Lists the days of the week specified in step 4. Days on which the employee logged hours are displayed as blue or red links. Red links indicate an error, such as an In entry that does not have a corresponding Out entry. To fix errors, see To exclude time entries.
    • Regular: Shows the total standard hours logged by the employee each day. By default, all the employee’s hours are categorized as regular.
    • Adjust: Shows any hours added to or subtracted from the regular hours. See Adjusting Employee E-Time Records in AcuityLogic POS.
    • Reason: Shows the reason for the adjustment.
    • Hours2, Hours3: Show hours that your company does not categorize as regular, such as bereavement and sick leave. To record nonregular hours, see Adjusting Employee E-Time Records in AcuityLogic POS.
    • Type2, Type3: Show nonregular hour types.
    • Total (column): Shows the total hours of all types recorded for the employee for each day.
    • Log: Contains an active View link for each day if adjustments were made to the day’s hours. Clicking the link displays the Log window, which tracks adjustments for the day. See To track E-Time adjustments.
    • Total (row): Shows the total hours for each column that contains hours.
You cannot click on the Total label and you cannot edit the total hours at the bottom of each column.
  8. To view any notes, click Show/Add Notes.
  9. To close the notes field, click Hide Notes.
  10. To close the Details window, click Cancel.
