VSP Formulary Updates for Maui Jim Lenses—June 2025

On June 11, 2025, VSP will make updates to some Maui Jim lenses in the formulary. The Maui Jim lenses that previously required a mirror coating to be added when ordering will be replaced in the formulary with updated versions to help reduce lab delays caused by missing coatings.

The update affects the following Maui Jim lens colors:

  • Solid - Will now have the mirror coating as an inherent, or built-in, feature.

  • Bi-Gradient - Will now have the mirror coating as an inherent feature.

  • MauiGradient- The mirror coating will now be processed as a tint.
