Setting Up Screen Scraping for the VSP Interface
This section explains how to set up screen scraping with VSP to obtain patient eligibility and to send claims through the VSP interface automatically. Before setting up screen scraping, you must contact Eyefinity to set up a VSP account and to activate the VSP interface. See Activating the VSP Interface.
- Make sure your login credentials are updated. VSP or a carrier may require that you update your password regularly.
- Eyefinity/VSP cookies are required for VSP eligibility authorization and claim submission.

To set up screen scraping with VSP for an office
- In AcuityLogic Admin, click Insurance and select Screen Scraping Management.
The Screen Scraping Management window opens.
- From the Location Name drop-down list, select an office.
- From the Carrier drop-down list, select VSP (or another VSP carrier).
- In the Login field, enter the login name that Eyefinity customer care provided for the office.
- In the Password field, enter the password that Eyefinity provided for the office.
- Select the Submit check box.To review and then manually submit claims to Eyefinity, deselect the Submit check box. When the box is deselected, claims are sent automatically to Eyefinity but not submitted. This gives you the opportunity to review the claim and then submit it yourself.
- Click the Show Additional Settings link to show the Additional Settings section.
- In the SS Office ID field, enter the SS Office ID that Eyefinity provided for the office.
- In the Account Number field, enter the Account Number that Eyefinity provided for the office.
- Click Save.
- Contact Eyefinity Customer Care and request that a representative record additional configuration information in the Additional Settings section of the Screen Scraping module.
To populate Eyefinity/VSP cookies for VSP eligibility authorization and claim submission
- In AcuityLogic Admin, click Insurance and select Screen Scraping Management.
- From the Location Name drop-down list, select the office to update.
The Carrier Name field appears.
- From the Carrier Name drop-down list, select the appropriate insurance carrier.
- In the insurance carrier section that appears, confirm that the correct Eyefinity login and password are entered for the selected office.
- Click Retrieve Settings to automatically populate the required information.If you receive a message to check credentials, click OK, and enter the correct Eyefinity login and password for the office.
