Improving Performance of EDI Claim Submissions
This section explains how to improve the performance of EDI claim submissions by using the Submit EDI Claims Daily integration to process EDI claims in smaller batches multiple times a day.
Before you can use the Submit EDI Claims Daily integration, Eyefinity must set it up. For more information, contact your AcuityLogic account manager or Eyefinity Customer Care.
To improve the performance of EDI claim submissions
- Enable the integration to process batch EDI claims for your company as follows:
In AcuityLogic Admin, click Company, and select Company Setup.
In the Company Information window, click your company's name link.
In the Company Information window, open the Attributes menu, and select the Enable Batch EDI Processing check box.
- In AcuityLogic X-Link, click Partners, select Blink or Alogic Service, and select the Submit EDI Claims Daily integration.
- On the View Batches page, click the Configure gear icon.
- On the Configure Integration page, click the Configuration tab.
-
In the tab, enter values in the following fields:
- FTP Host: To process claims for only one carrier, enter the carrier's name.
- FTP User: Enter the maximum number of claims to submit in one batch. Batches can include from 1 to 2000 claims. If this field is empty, the integration includes up to 500 claims in each batch.
- FTP Password: Specify whether to submit combined or individual EDI files by entering one of the following values:
- true: The integration generates one or more EDI files for each carrier and then combines them into one large file to submit to TriZetto (formerly Gateway EDI).
- false: The integration submits the individual EDI files to TriZetto.
If the FTP Host field is empty, the integration processes all EDI claims that have the Ready to Bill status. - Click Save.
The EDI files are submitted to TriZetto and are available on your XIF server to review.
