Receiving and Transferring Items on Vendor Receipts in AcuityLogic DC

You can receive and transfer items on vendor receipts created previously. When you use the receive and transfer functionality to process a vendor receipt, you can indicate the quantity of each item to add to the distribution center’s inventory and the quantity of each item to transfer to another location.

  • You can transfer each item on a vendor receipt to one other location.
  • If an office is set up to receive stock transfers from a distribution center automatically, the inventory count for the office is automatically updated after the transfer is sent. See Setting Up Office Information.

To receive and transfer items on vendor receipts

  1. In the Vendor Receipt window, create a vendor receipt. See Creating Vendor Receipts in AcuityLogic DC.
  2. Click the Receive and Transfer icon.

    The Receive and Transfer window opens.

  3. From the drop-down list in the For Office column for each item, select the office to transfers items to. By default, the offices selected when items were added to the vendor receipt are selected.
  4. In the Transfer Quantity column for each item, enter the quantity to transfer. By default, the transfer quantity is set to match the receipt quantity.

    The Keep Quantity column is automatically updated. This column specifies the quantity of each item to add to the distribution center’s inventory.

  5. Perform one of the following actions:
    • Click Save to save your changes and return to the Vendor Receipt window.
    • Click Save and Process to add the items to the distribution center’s inventory and create the stock transfers to the selected offices.
    The Save and Process button is unavailable if None is selected in the drop-down list in the For Office column for one or more items. If you do not want to transfer the items, enter 0 in the Transfer Quantity fields.
  6. If you clicked Save and Process, perform one of the following actions in the confirmation window that opens:
    • Click Yes to print both the stock packing list and the labels for the items to transfer.
    • Click No to print only the packing list for the items to transfer.

    The status for the vendor receipt changes to Saved and the stock transfers for the selected items are created and sent. You can review the details for the stock transfers in the Stock Transfer window. You can also print the labels in the Stock Transfer window if you did not print them when processing the receipt.
