Editing Item Types

Item types include frames, accessories, contact lenses, exams, and others. They are preloaded in AcuityLogic Admin, and you can edit and customize their features for your practice. You cannot create or delete item types.

For multitenant environments, the following setup can be performed only by administrators of the parent company and is required only for the parent company. The parent company setup applies to all companies.

To edit item types

  1. In AcuityLogic Admin, click Product and select Item Type.

    The Item Type Modification window opens.

  2. Click Edit next to the item type you want to modify.
  3. To allow discounts on the item type, select the Allow Global Discount and Allow Line Discount check boxes.
  4. Select any of the extra features from the Extra feature box.

    Press and hold the Ctrl or Shift key to select multiple features.

    The options are defined on the Custom Attributes window when the category is Item Type. See Adding and Modifying Custom Attributes.

  5. Click Update.
