Setting Up Labs for a Lab Interface

You need to set up labs in AcuityLogic Admin before you can use a lab interface to send lab orders. This topic explains how to set up labs for a lab interface. For full details about setting up labs in AcuityLogic Admin, see Maintaining Labs.

For multitenant environments, the following setup can be performed only by administrators of the parent company and is required only for the parent company. The parent company setup applies to all companies.

To set up labs for a lab interface

  1. In AcuityLogic Admin, click Master Data Admin, and select Lab Search.

    The Lab window opens.

  2. Click the link for an existing lab in the Lab Number column or click Create new to create a new lab.

    The Lab window for the existing or new lab opens.

  3. Enter the lab number, name, and address.
  4. From the Lab Type drop-down list, select Eye Glass Lab.
  5. From the Lab System drop-down list, select the appropriate lab interface.

    For example, select Innovations if you are setting up the lab for the Innovations lab interface.

  6. Select the Active check box.
  7. Select the Is System Lab check box. You must select this check box for lab orders to be sent through the lab interface to the lab management system.
  8. In the Lab Options section, configure the options in the following table for the applicable lab interface:
    Lab InterfaceLab Option

    DVI

    • Do Not Send Promise Date (DVI) — Select the check box if you do not want to send the promised date recorded on orders with lab orders.
    • Frame Id to send (DVI) — Select one of the following options from the drop-down list:
      • Frame UPC (Default)
      • Frame Item Number

      The option you select determines the frame information sent with lab orders.

    Innovations

    • Send OC as Pupil Height — Select the check box to send the optical center (OC) height as a pupil height. If you do not select the check box, the OC height is sent as the OC drop.
    • Auto Assign Lab Order to Tray (Innovations) — Select the check box to send lab orders automatically at a scheduled time as part of an AcuityLogic X-Link integration. The integration must be set up by Eyefinity. Contact your AcuityLogic account manager if you want to use the integration.
    • Select Carrier To Send Auth# For Remake (Innovations) — Select the check box for one or more carriers from the drop-down list whose order authorization numbers you want to send instead of the original order numbers for remakes.
    The frame source for batch orders sent by the AcuityLogic X-Link Submit Innovations Orders integration to the Innovations lab is automatically set to Frame on Hold in the Innovations input file.

    Labzilla

    • Send Account Number For Customer Number (Labzilla) — Select the check box to submit the office account number as the customer number for all orders for the lab.
  9. Click Save.
