Setting Up Remake Types
This topic explains how to set up remake types that you can assign to remake orders
For multitenant environments, the following setup must be completed for each company. The parent company setup is not automatically applied to individual companies.
To set up remake types
- Open the Types/References window. See Opening the Types/Reference Window.
- Click the Remake link for your company.
- In the Remake Types window, do one of the following:
- To add a remake type, click Add Remake Types. A row is added to the Remake Types table.
- To edit an existing remake type, click Edit in the row of the remake type you want to edit. The fields in the row become editable.
- Enter or change values in the following fields of the new or existing row:
- Enter a description of the remake type in the Remake Description field.
- Enter an ID number in the ID field.
- Enter a view order number in the View Order field.
- Enter any lab codes in the Lab Code fields if necessary.
- If the remake type is applicable to eyeglasses, select the Eyeglass Item check box.
- If the remake type is applicable to contact lenses, select the Contact Lens Item check box.
- To indicate that you need to rebill claims for items with the selected remake type, select the Rebill Claim check box.
- To indicate that the remake type is currently in use, select the Active check box.
- Do one of the following:
- To add a new remake type, click Insert.
To update a remake type, click Update.
- To export the remake types to a spreadsheet, click Export.
The spreadsheet opens in Microsoft Excel.
