Billing Safety Claims

This section explains how to bill insurance carriers that offer benefits only for safety glasses in AcuityLogic Billing.

  • If a claim that you want to bill does not have the status Ready to Bill, set the status to Ready to Bill. See Setting Claim Status to Ready to Bill.
  • To bill safety claims for a specific plan, the Plan Type field must be set to Safety in the plan's AcuityLogic Admin Insurance Plan window.
  • The process for generating safety claim statements can accommodate up to 100 claims at a time. If you attempt to generate statements for more than 100 claims, a message appears indicating that you can generate statements for the first 100 claims.

To bill safety claims

  1. Click Billing Claim, and select Statement Forms.

    The Billing Claim > Statement Forms window opens.

  2. Select claims to bill the carrier. See Searching for Claims and Selecting Results by Provider.
  3. Click Generate Form.

    The claim status changes to Billed, and the bills open as a PDF file in a new window.

  4. To print the bills, click Print.
  5. Send the printed bills to the appropriate carriers.
