Sending Lab Orders Using the Innovations Lab Interface from AcuityLogic DC

If your company uses the Innovations lab interface, you can send lab orders to the Innovations lab management system from AcuityLogic DC. To send lab orders, you assign them to a tray. Only orders that are priced and invoiced in AcuityLogic POS can be assigned to a tray.

  • Before you can send orders using the Innovations lab interface, Eyefinity must configure additional settings. If you are interested in using the Innovations lab interface, contact your AcuityLogic account manager.
  • You must assign orders to a tray in AcuityLogic DC before the status of the orders is changed to In Process in AcuityLogic POS. To ensure that there are no orders waiting to be assigned to a tray in AcuityLogic DC, you can generate the WIP (Work In Progress) report in AcuityLogic POS and search for orders with the Ready status.
  • To ensure that the Innovations lab processes the orders correctly, AcuityLogic automatically sets the orders' frame source in the Innovations input file to Frame in Hand.

To send lab orders using the Innovations lab interface

  1. Click Orders and select Assign Lab Order to Tray.

    The Assign Lab Order to Tray window opens.

  2. In the Order Number field, enter or scan the order number for the order that you want to send.
  3. In the Tray Number field, enter or scan the tray number for the tray that you want to assign the order to.
  4. Press Enter.

    AcuityLogic sends the order through the lab interface with the lab order assigned to the tray and updates the order status to In Process in AcuityLogic POS.
