Remaking Orders

To remake orders

  1. Open a patient profile. See Opening Patient Profiles.
  2. Click the Orders tab.

    The patient’s order information appears.

  3. Select Remake from the Actions drop-down list for the order you want to remake.

    The Confirm Remake Order window opens.

  4. Select the remake reason.
  5. In the note field, enter information about the remake.

    This field appears only if the required notes feature is configured for this transaction type. See Setting Up Required Notes.
  6. In the Lab to Make field, select only the items that you want the lab to remake on the order.
  7. Click Remake Order.
    Click View Order to view the details for the original order. The View Order button is available only for remakes of eyeglass orders.

  8. Record the order with any changes in product information required. If you modified the information on the Rx, select to add the modified Rx to the new order.
  9. Complete the order using one of the following methods:
    • Click Complete Order to set the order status to hold and return to the Orders tab.
    • Click Complete Order to Pricing to open the order in the Order Pricing window. If the new order has no product change, click OK to copy the pricing information, including all insurance, VSP pricing (if applicable), and sales discounts, from the original order to the new order. If the new order has a product change, click OK to acknowledge that the pricing information will not copy from the original order to the new order. Apply the same insurance, VSP pricing (if applicable), and sales discounts that were on the original order to the new order.
  10. Save the pricing and invoice the new order. When you create an invoice for the new order, click Apply Customer Credit to use the customer’s credit as payment for the new order. If necessary, collect the remaining amount owed or issue a refund to the customer.
