Sending Stock Orders in AcuityLogic POS

You can create and send stock orders for inventory replenishment from the Stock Order window.

For contact lens stock orders, you can use a bar code scanner to created orders for contact lens trials or for stock supply orders. AcuityLogic does not support using a bar code scanner for entering contact lens prescriptions or adding a contact lens to a patient order.

To send stock orders

  1. Open the Stock Order window. See Opening the Stock Order Window in AcuityLogic POS.
  2. Click Add Stock Order.
  3. Select the type of item you want to create the stock order for from the Item Type drop-down list.
  4. To select the source for the stock order, use one of the following methods:
    • For contact lenses: From the Supplier drop-down list, select your integrated contact lens supplier. For example: ABB/Fait/CLX.
    • For frame or accessories: From the Order From DC drop-down list, select the office or distribution center to order the item from.
  5. (Optional) Enter notes for the stock order in the Notes field.
  6. Click the OK icon ( ) to create the stock order.
  7. Click Add Detail to add items to the stock order.
  8. To add items to the stock order, use one of the following methods:
    • Click the Lookup icon, and use the search criteria in the Stock Item Search window to select an item.
    • Click inside the UPC Code field, and scan the bar code or enter the UPC code for an item you have in stock.

    AcuityLogic populates the details for the selected or scanned item.

  9. Enter the item quantity in the Quantity field.
  10. Click the OK icon ( ) to add the item to the stock order.
  11. Repeat steps 7–10 for each item that you want to add to the stock order.
    • Click the Notes icon next to a stock order to review the associated notes.
    • You can edit or delete stock orders when the status is Open. Click the Edit icon next to a stock order to make changes, or click the Delete icon to delete the order.
  12. To send the stock order, use one of the following methods:
    • For contact lenses: Click the Send Stock Order icon (), and click OK in the dialog box.
      The Send Stock Order icon is available for Patient Order (Auto) and Replenish (Auto) stock orders only if you are not set up to send these orders automatically as part of a scheduled integration.
    • For frames and accessories: Click the Print icon to print the Stock Order Report and to send the stock order.
      You can manually send Replenish (Auto) stock orders by clicking the Print icon, or you can wait for the orders to be sent automatically as part of the nightly day close integration. Patient Order (Auto) stock orders are sent after you invoice the order.

    AcuityLogic changes the Order Status to Sent.
