Understanding Stock Order Types

The following table describes the stock order types in AcuityLogic POS. The stock order type displays in the Stock Order Type column in the Stock Order window. You can search for orders by stock order type. SeeSearching for Stock Orders in AcuityLogic POS.

Order Type Description

Patient Order (Auto)

When you create a patient order and select the option to order contact lenses from an integrated contact lens supplier or frames from an internal distribution center, AcuityLogic adds the order to a Patient (Auto) stock order.

Patient Order (Auto) stock orders are created only if the Create Patient Stock Order DC Provided office attribute is selected in AcuityLogic Admin. See Setting Up Office Information.

Replenish (Auto)

When you create a patient order and select Inventory from the Supply Source drop-down list on the Summary tab, AcuityLogic adds the order to a Replenish (Auto) stock order in the following situations:

  • For eyeglass orders, when you select Enclosed as the frame supply source and the replenishment rule set up in AcuityLogic Admin is met.
  • For contact lens orders, when you select Inventory as the supply source and you are using a contact lens integration.

Replenish (Manual)

When you create a contact lens stock order from the Stock Order window, AcuityLogic adds the order to a Replenish (Manual) stock order.
