Using Worldpay Devices to Process Payments

After you add the Worldpay devices in AcuityLogic POS, you can use them to process credit card payments. This section explains how to use the Worldpay devices to process payments using one or more credit cards.

  • These steps explain how to process a payment when you invoice an order. They also apply to processing payments for the following:Outstanding balancesMiscellaneous paymentsPatient insurance balances See Recording Miscellaneous Payments and Applying Patient Insurance Balance Payments.
  • If a message appears indicating that an authorization could not be deleted automatically, the credit card holder will need to contact their credit card company to have the authorization removed. In a future version of AcuityLogic, an integration will run periodically to remove authorizations older than two hours.
  • To manually process payments outside of the Worldpay integration for phone orders where the credit card is not present or when the card reader fails to read the credit card, select Credit Card (Manual Entry) when adding the payment. If your office does not have the Credit Card (Manual Entry) payment type set up, select the payment type that your office uses.
