Converting 99 Codes to 92 Codes
Eyefinity EHR defaults to the 92 code (vision code or eye code) as long as your documentation supports the vision code. If the exam documentation doesn't support a vision code, you won't see the conversion button.
Manually Converting between 99 and 92 Codes
- Navigate to the Visit Overview page.
- Scroll down to the Billing section, where you can see a comparison of the 99 code and the 92 code.
The amount displayed is an estimate based off of the national average for reimbursements. It is not necessarily the amount you will be reimbursed.
If you don't see the Billing section, the exam may not contain all the elements of documentation that are required to generate a vision billing code.
- Click the code you want to use.
