Performing Testing for Specific Eye Conditions
The Vision Exam screen allows you to record test results for other types of conditions such as glaucoma A disease characterized by elevated intraocular pressure, which causes optic nerve damage and subsequent peripheral vision loss. Most people have no initial symptoms of chronic (open-angle) glaucoma, but you can develop peripheral vision loss, headaches, blurred vision, difficulty adapting to darkness, and halos around lights. Other forms of glaucoma (e.g., closed-angle glaucoma) may have additional symptoms such as eye pain, a pupil that does not respond to light, redness, nausea, and a bulging eye., macular degeneration
Disorder characterized by changes in the eye's macula that result in the gradual loss of central vision. The exact cause is unknown, but appears to be related to a genetic predisposition, smoking, and several other risk factors. Central vision may be blurred, distorted (metamorphopsia), or shadowy before vision loss occurs., and color blindness. This topic covers:

- Click Binocular.
The Binocular
Both eyes. Tests screen opens and the Near Point Convergence tab appears.
- Complete the fields on the following tabs:
- Cover-Uncover. Click Add Cover Ortho or select the values for both eyes.
- Phorias-D. Select the Test Type and Measurements. Select the Blur, Break, and Recover.
- Phorias-N. Select the Test Type and Measurements. Select the Vertical OD and Vertical OS.
- AC/A Ratio. Select the AC/A ratio
Accommodative Convergence to Accommodation Ratio. The relationship of both eyes’ ability to turn inward with the eyes’ ability to focus on a point..
- Near Point Conv. Select the Test and Reliability. Select the Blur, Break and Recover.
- Near Point Accom. Select the Near Point Accommodation for the right, left and both eyes.
- Vergence. Select the Divergence and Convergence.
- Cross-Cylinder. Select the BXC.
- Relative Accom. Select the NRA and PRA values.
- AC/A Ratio. Select the AC/A ratio

- Fusion/Stereopsis. Select the Fusion/Stereopsis values.
- Worth. Select the values for the Worth Four Dot Test
- Titmus. Select the values for the Titmus Stereo Test.
- Dominance. Select the dominant eye.
- Click Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Click Misc Tests.
- Select values for Accommodative Facility.
- Select values for MEM Retinoscopy.
- Click Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Click Central Retinal Thickness.
- Enter the Central Retinal Thickness in micrometers for the right and left eye.
- Click Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Click RNFL Thickness.
- Enter the RNFL thickness in micrometers for the right and left eye.
- Click Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Click Pachymetry.
- Enter the Corneal Pachymetry Thickness measurements for the right and left eye.
- Click Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Click Endothelial Counts.
- Enter the Endothelial Counts for the right and left eye.
- Click Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Click Amsler Grid.
- If the test result was normal, click Mark as Normal.
- If the test result was abnormal, select Abnormal from the Result drop-down list, and select the abnormal result in the right and left eye grids.
- Click Save.

- Open the Vision Exam screen.

- Click Color Vision.
The Color Vision screen opens.
- If the test result was normal, click Mark as Normal.
- If the test result was abnormal, select Abnormal from the Result the drop-down list.
- Select the Test Type in the drop-down list.
- Enter the results for the right and left eye.
- In Details, click any plates the patient missed.
- Select the Farnsworth results for the right and left eye, as needed.
- Type Additional Color Vision Notes, as needed.
- Click Save.
