Archiving Patients
While you can't delete a patient from Eyefinity EHR, you can archive the patient. Archived patients appear only in searches for inactive patients. You cannot create new exams or edit archived patient information. Archived patients are removed from regulatory reports.
Charts for patients who are merged or marked inactive in Eyefinity Practice Management are archived in Eyefinity EHR.
To archive a patient
- Open the patient's chart.
- Click the Edit Patient Data action bar icon.
- Click the Practice Data tab.
- Scroll down to the Archive Patient Data section.
- In the Archive Patient text box, type YES and click Archive.
- Click Yes to confirm you want to archive the patient.
The patient is now archived and will not appear in any list of active patients.
To unarchive a patient
- Log in to the Eyefinity EHR web application.
- Click the Patients tab.
- Click the Status drop-down menu and select Inactive.
- Select the check box for each patient you wish to unarchive.

Click the Unarchive Selected Patients button.
The patient is now active.
