ePrescribing a Medical Prescription

1. Click the Rx tab.

   The Rx tab is available at the top of the screen from anywhere in Eyefinity EHR.

   The Rx screen shows a list of prescriptions.

2. Use the Filter criteria to locate the prescriptions you want to ePrescribe.
3. To select the prescriptions you want to send, click the check box to the left of the prescription.
4. Click ePrescribe Selected on the Action Bar.

   If you want to write and send a new prescription, select the check box for the patient. Click Add New Rx and search for the medication. The medication is added to the queue for the selected patient.
   
   From the Rx Management screen you can Print, Edit, or Void a prescription.

   The preferred pharmacies for the selected patient appear.

5. Select the appropriate pharmacy.

6. Click Send Prescriptions.

   If ePrescribing is not currently enabled for you and/or your facility, you won't be able to send the Rx. You'll need to log in as an administrator to enable ePrescribing. For more information, go to Prescribing Medications Electronically in the Browser.
