Viewing Note Outputs in the Visit Overview (Web)

You can view the Note Outputs to get an overview of the patient’s chart, the vision exam, and the ocular exam. You can also view the patient’s bill, prescriptions, orders, image interpretations, and patient handouts. What do you want to do?

  1. Open a patient visit. To learn how, go to Creating or Opening a Visit (Web).
  2. Click the View Visit Note action bar button.

    The preliminary visit note displays. The visit note shows the patient history, eye exam, and ocular exam data that has been recorded for the patient for this visit.

  3. Click the View Enc. Form, View Bill, View Rx, View Handout, Patient Education, or Img. Interp. action bar buttons to view additional outputs. To learn more, go to Identify other visit outputs.
  4.  Perform the following actions as needed:
    • Click Download Visit Handout as PDF save a copy of the document for your personal review or to print it.
    • Click Download Encrypted PDF to save an encrypted copy of the document to share with someone else. You will be prompted to create a password to open the document.

In addition to the visit note, other visit outputs are available. The following table describes the outputs.

Output Description

Enc. Form

The Encounter Form shows all of the billing data that has been recorded for the patient for this visit, including the CPT codes and description of service, modifier information, and diagnosis code.

Bill

The patient bill shows the bill that will be sent from the practice management system for this visit.

Rx

The Rx shows the medical prescriptions created for the patient for this visit.

Img Interp

The Image Interpretation shows the image interpretations for tests performed during this visit.

Patient Education

The Patient Education is a handout with educational information that can be provided to the patient for this visit. These are the counseling statements from any counseling plans.
