Capturing Images with Konan

1. Ensure that Encompass is open.
2. Create a blank exam, or open a saved exam for an existing patient.
3. In the Encompass chart window, click the Interfaces icon.
4. Select Konan:Capture.

   The Konan analysis software opens.

5. If you use the new Konan CellChek software:
   1. Click CellChek in the main window.
   2. Click New Patient.

   The Enter Patient Information window opens. It contains the patient demographic information transferred from Encompass.

6. Follow the Konan software capture instructions to capture the patient’s retinal images on the Specular Microscope.
7. Close the Konan capture software to return to Encompass.

   In the patient exam, the Konan icon appears on the Images - Drawings tab under the Images, Drawings and Graphics category bar.
