Capturing Kowa Images

1. Ensure that Encompass is open.
2. Create a blank exam, or open a saved exam for an existing patient.
3. In the Encompass chart window, click the Interfaces icon.
4. Select Kowa:Capture.

   The Kowa Capture window opens with the patient’s last name, first name, middle initials, gender, date of birth, and patient ID preloaded from Encompass.

5. Follow the Kowa Capture instructions to capture the patient’s retinal images.
6. Close Kowa Capture to return to Encompass.

   In the patient exam, the Kowa icon appears on the Images - Drawings tab under the Images, Drawings and Graphics category bar.
