Capturing OCULUS Data
-
In Eyefinity EHR, create a visit note, or open a preliminary note.
- Click the Integrations tab.
- Click Equipment Interfaces.
-
Select the OCULUS capture option that corresponds to your OCULUS equipment. If you gave the equipment a nickname in the Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window, that name appears in this list.
The OCULUS application opens with the patient’s name and date of birth preloaded from Eyefinity EHR.
- If you use the Binoptometer 4P, follow these instructions to set up the equipment. You need to set up the equipment only once on each computer from which you capture data.
Select a patient.
Click Binoptometer 4P.
Click Settings.
Click System.
Ensure that the GDT Export check box is selected.
Click the ellipsis (...), and browse to and select the location of the OCULUS GDT export folder (for example, C:\GDT_OUT) that you set up for the interface. Select the same drive and folder that you set up in Setting Up the OCULUS Interface.
Click Back.
Close the OCULUS - Binoptometer 4P window.
-
Follow the OCULUS instructions to capture the patient’s visual fields or topography data.
-
Close the OCULUS application to return to Eyefinity EHR.
The Eyefinity EHR equipment interface displays a dialog box when the transfer is complete.
- Click OK.
- Click Close to close the blank browser window.
The Equipment Integration dialog box opens.
- Click Close.
The data you captured appears in the Eyefinity EHR window.
If the data does not appear, press F5 to refresh the window.
- To review the patient’s captured visual fields or topography data, see Reviewing OCULUS Data.
