Heidelberg Interface
Eyefinity EHR interacts with the Heidelberg HRT2/HRT3 and Spectralis OCT as follows:
- Before the capture process when patient information is transferred from Eyefinity EHR into Eye Explorer to create or update retinal images
- During the review process when new or existing Eye Explorer retinal images are available for on-screen review
The Heidelberg interface saves equipment data to the Heidelberg database. You can review the data on all computers that have Eyefinity EHR installed and the Heidelberg review interface enabled.
Network Connection Method
The Heidelberg interface uses a serial RS-232 cable or a null modem to connect to the computer. The interface can use only one camera per Terminal Server.
- You must install the Eye Explorer software on the computer to which the Heidelberg equipment is connected.
