Setting Up the NIDEK NAVIS-EX Software
Before using the NIDEK NAVIS-EX equipment interface, you must set up the NAVIS-EX software to interact with Eyefinity EHR.
To use the NIDEK NAVIS-EX software, do the following:
- Configure the NIDEK AFC-230, AFC-330, AFC-210, or F-10 camera. For more information on configuring your camera, see the equipment manual.
- Install Eyefinity EHR.
- Install NIDEK NAVIS-EX 1.2.1 or later. If you have NIDEK NAVIS-EX 1.6 or 1.7 installed, upgrade to NIDEK NAVIS-EX 1.8. For more information, see the NIDEK NAVIS-EX Software Installation Manual.
- Configure NAVIS-EX. For more information, see Configuring NAVIS-EX.
- NIDEK NAVIS-EX software must be installed on the same workstation as Eyefinity EHR.
- If you install NIDEK NAVIS-EX software on a workstation running Windows Vista, ensure that the User Account Control (UAC) checkbox in the Control Panel is not selected.
- Back up your NIDEK NAVIS-EX data. For recommended backup procedures, contact the manufacturer.
- When you upgrade your NIDEK NAVIS-EX software, you must select the correct data destination. Contact NIDEK Client Services for upgrade instructions.
- Contact NIDEK or your certified networking technician if you have questions about networking the NAVIS-EX software.
