Setting Up the Visionix Interface

This topic explains how to perform the following tasks:

  1. Double-click the Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup icon on your computer desktop.

    The Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window opens.

  2. Click Add.
  3. Select the Visionix manufacturer and VX40 (Lensmeter) or VX55 (Auto Phoropter) device.

    If you're connecting a Visionix Eye Refract or VX65, select VX55 (Auto Phoropter) from the device list.

  4. Click Add.

    The settings and options appear.

  5. (Optional) Enter a Device Nickname.
  6. Click Browse, and select the location of the export folder. The export folder can be any folder on your system that Eyefinity EHR and Visionix devices can access and that is not used by any other application.
  7. (Optional) To verify that you can connect to the Visionix equipment, click Test.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Repeat steps 2–8 for each piece of Visionix equipment that you are using.
  10. Close the Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window.

  2. Click Add.
  3. Select the Topcon manufacturer and ARK Devices (Autorefractor Karatometer device.
  4. Click Add.

    The settings and options appear.

  5. (Optional) Enter a Device Nickname.
  6. Select the Use Serial Port option.
  7. From the Select COM Port drop-down list, select a communication port number. The default is 1.
  8. From the Select Baud Rate drop-down list, select 9600.
  9. (Optional) To verify that you can connect to the Visionix equipment, click Test.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Close the Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window.
  1. Record the output setting in the Visionix WaveLens Pro equipment as Topcon CV5000.
  2. Double-click the Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup icon on your computer desktop.

    The Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window opens.

  3. Click Add.
  4. Select the Topcon manufacturer and CL Devices (Lensmeter) device.
  5. Click Add.

    The settings and options appear.

  6. (Optional) Enter a Device Nickname.
  7. Select the Use Serial Port option.
  8. From the Select COM Port drop-down list, select a communication port number. The default is 1.
  9. From the Select Baud Rate drop-down list, select 9600.
  10. (Optional) To verify that you can connect to the Visionix equipment, click Test.
  11. Click Save.
  12. Close the Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window.
