Using the Humphrey HFA3 Interface
- Ensure that the Humphrey Field Analyzer HFA3 Series is connected to your network with a network cable.
- Ensure that Eyefinity EHR is open.
- Create a blank exam, or open a saved exam for an existing patient.
- In the Eyefinity EHR chart window, click the Interfaces icon.
- Select Humphrey: Capture HFAIIi (a nickname for the device).
The Eyefinity Equipment Interface window opens and displays a “Waiting for Humphrey: Capture HFAIIi Exam Data” message. Eyefinity EHR sends patient demographic information to the Humphrey equipment.
If you used your Humphrey equipment before integrating it with Eyefinity EHR, you can merge Eyefinity EHR patient data into existing patient records in the Humphrey equipment. For help merging patient data, contact Carl Zeiss Meditec, Inc. You cannot merge multiple patients’ data simultaneously. You must merge individual patients one at a time.
- From the Patient window on the Humphrey equipment, click the refresh button to open the patient profile for the patient whose exam is open.
If you do not see the refresh button under the Add button in the Patient window, call Zeiss customer care at 800.341.6968.
- Follow the instructions that you got during your Zeiss training, and perform the tests on the patient. Remember to save all tests after completing them so that they are transferred and linked to the patient exam.
- After Eyefinity EHR receives all the reports, click Done.
- On the Humphrey equipment, press the Main Menu or Return icon.
The Main Menu window opens.
