Using the Topcon Interface

In Eyefinity EHR, create a visit note, or open a preliminary note.

Click the Integrations tab.
- Click the Equipment Interfaces.
- Select the Topcon device that corresponds to your Topcon equipment. If you gave the equipment a nickname in the Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window, that name appears in this list.
- If you use the Topcon KR-800 with a LAN connection, select Topcon 800s.
- If you use the Topcon KR-800 with a serial connection, select Topcon ARK Devices.
- Click Abort Data Acquisition to cancel the equipment integration and return to the exam.
The Eyefinity Equipment Interface window opens and displays this message: Waiting on Exam Data from DeviceName.
- Use the Topcon device to perform the exam tests.
The test data is automatically transmitted to the computer at the end of the test. You can also press Print on the operational panel of the Topcon device to transmit the data to the computer.
The device prints the data and transmits it to Eyefinity EHR. The interface displays a message when the transfer is complete.
- Click OK.

Click the Close button to close the blank browser window.
The Equipment Integration dialog box opens.
- Click Close.
The data that you captured and the date and time that the data was captured appears in the pretesting summary section in the visit note.
- If the data does not appear, press F5 to refresh the window.
- The pretesting summary gives you a snapshot of the data imported from the equipment. The data also populates appropriate areas of the visit note.
- If you use the KR-800S with a LAN connection, distance glare visual acuity data is also populated in the visit note.
- Click the angle brackets (>>) to reveal additional data as necessary.

- Select the Topcon device that corresponds to your KR-800PA equipment. If you gave the equipment a nickname in the Eyefinity EHR Equipment Interface Setup window, that name appears in this list.
Click Abort Data Acquisition to cancel the equipment integration and return to the exam.
The Eyefinity Equipment Interface window opens and displays this message: Complete Exam Texts for patient.
- Use the Topcon device to perform the exam tests and export autorefraction and k-readings from the KR-800PA.

Open the Topcon iMap for KR application, and export topography images from the KR-800PA.
- In the Eyefinity EHR Equipment Interface, click Import.
The equipment interface receives the data from the equipment and sends it to Eyefinity EHR. The Eyefinity EHRequipment interface displays a dialog box when the transfer is complete.
- Click OK.

The diagnostic data you captured appears in the Eyefinity EHR window.
- If the data does not appear, press F5 to refresh the window.

- Click the angle brackets (>>) to reveal additional diagnostic data as necessary.
- Follow these instructions to review topography images:
Click the Integrations tab.
Click Equipment Interfaces.
The Eyefinity Equipment Interface Progress window opens.
- Select the Topcon review option that corresponds to your KR-800PA equipment. If you gave the equipment a nickname in the Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window, that name appears in this list.
- Double-click a report to open, view, and print topography images.
