Identifying Sticky Situations

Sometimes sticky fields don't default to the content or settings you might expect. Here are some tips for identifying and mitigating these situations.

Staff Sticky Preferences

Set staff members' Sticky preferences so Update Own is set to True. Setting this preference to True means the technician or scribe inherits the sticky settings of the Primary Provider selected int he Visit Settings. Protocols

When you apply protocols to a visit, the contents of the protocols override the user's sticky preferences for the current visit. You can edit the content of the sticky fields in the current visit, but if you want to update the content imported into future visits, you'll need to edit the protocol.

Copy Forward

When you when you copy forward a visit, the contents of the previous visit override the user's sticky preferences for the current visit. You can edit the content of the sticky fields in the current visit.
