Managing Firm Preferences

Firm preferences are settings that affect the appearance and behavior of Eyefinity EHR across all users and practice locations.

Here's how to find the Manage Firm Preferences page:

  1. Log in to the Eyefinity EHR web application as an administrator.
  2. Locate the Firm Settings group and click Manage Firm Preferences.

    The Manage Firm Preferences page opens. For information about the effect of each preference, go to Choosing Firm Preferences.

You can change the size of the font displayed in chart notes. The larger the font, the more space notes take on the screen and the more scrolling users will need to do to view various pieces of information. The default setting is Small. Here's how to change the font size in chart notes.

  1. Navigate to the Manage Firm Preferences page.
  2. Locate the Chart Note Font Size setting.
  3. Click the drop-down and select Small, Medium, or Large.
  4. Click Save.

Create Patient Attachment from Every Order Created Eyefinity EHR creates a PDF attachment for every order and saves the PDF to the patient's record. Eyefinity EHRdocuments the order as part of the visit but does not automatically generate an order PDF. Off
Display Primary Provider/Biller/Attendees on Visit Note PDF The provider, biller, and attendee all appear in the footer of the finalized note. None of the providers selected in the visit note settings will be listed on the finalized note; however, the provider who finalizes the note is listed as the signer. On
Allow Patients to send Attachments from the portal via intramail Patients can attached files to intramail messages. Patients cannot attach files to intramail messages. On
Enable Video Streaming Service Providers can conduct telehealth video visits within Eyefinity EHR. The video telehealth feature is hidden from all users. On
Enable Transcription Statuses Expands the list of visit not statuses to include transcription statuses. Exams cannot be finalized until the transcription is complete. Enable this preference if you use a remote scribe service. Transcription statuses are not visible to users, and note finalization will not be held for transcription. Off
Enable Warning for No Billing Components Displays a warning when the exam is finalized if there are no billing components. Users are not warned when they finalize an exam with no billing components. Off
Enable Cosignature Workflows Prevents exams from being finalized if they have not been signed by both the primary and billing providers. If the primary and billing provider are the same user, they will not be prevented from finalizing the exam. Either the primary or billing provider can finalize the exam without requiring the other to sign off. Off
Add Attachments to Visit Note PDF Automatically appends attachments associated with the exam to the end of the visit note PDF. This means attachments are visible to anyone who has access to the finalized visit note, including patients through the patient portal. Attachments are not included as part of the visit note PDF. Off
