Understanding Image Management

Image Management is a premium feature for Eyefinity EHR that enables you to seamlessly file and display your patients' diagnostic images. The feature reduces staff workload by automatically saving image files to a patient's chart as soon as they're taken. Without requiring youto attach files manually, Eyefinity EHR can deliver photos, scans, and more from your imaging devices right to your fingertips. Image Management also revolutionizes the way you present diagnostic imaging, providing you with a variety of display options to help you engage patients with their ocular health.

How does Image Management differ from standard equipment integration?

Standard Equipment Interface Image Management

By default, Eyefinity EHR is capable of importing structured data from diagnostic equipment. Structured data refers to such numerical and template-driven information as the following:

  • Autorefraction
  • Tonometry
  • Keratometry
  • Lensometry
  • Manifest Rx's from a phoropter

With Image Management installed, you can import imaging data from almost any imaging device. Commonly imported images include the following:

  • Fundus photos
  • External photos
  • OCT scans
  • Visual fields reports
  • Anterior segment imaging
  • Posterior segment imaging
