304. Cataracts: Patient Satisfaction within 90 Days Following Cataract Surgery
Percentage of patients aged 18 years and older who had cataract surgery and were satisfied with their care within 90 days following the cataract surgery, based on completion of the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Surgical Care Survey.
This measure is to be submitted each time for denominator eligible cases as defined in the denominator criteria. This measure is intended to reflect the quality of services provided for the patient receiving cataract surgery. This is an outcome measure and will be calculated solely using MIPS-eligible clinician, group, or third-party intermediary submitted data.
This measure should be reported by the operating surgeon only.
When the patient returns for the postop visit, perform the following steps:
- Document a cataract or postop cataract Diagnosis.
- Select a postop cataract evaluation Plan and tap Save.
- Locate the Postop Evaluation Cataract plan you just added and tap Resume.
- On the Details tab, document the Postop Day.
- Tap Done.
- Document the rest of the visit and Finalize.
Eyefinity products and documentation refer to the MIPS quality numbers. Other measure numbering systems are listed here for your reference.
