384. Adult Primary Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment Surgery: No Return to the Operating Room Within 90 Days of Surgery
Patients aged 18 years and older who had surgery for primary rhegmatogenous retinal detachment who did not require a return to the operating room within 90 days of surgery.
This measure is to be submitted each time for denominator eligible cases as defined in the denominator criteria. This measure is intended to reflect the quality of services provided for patients receiving primary rhegmatogenous retinal detachment surgery. This measure may be submitted by MIPS-eligible clinicians who perform the quality actions as defined by the numerator based on the services provided and the measure-specific denominator coding.
When the patient arrives for the postop visit, perform the following steps:
- Document a postop retinal detachment Diagnosis.
- Select a postop retinal detachment evaluation Plan and tap Save.
- Locate the Postop Evaluation Retinal Detachment plan you just added and tap Resume.
- On the Details tab, document the Postop Day.
- Tap Done.
- If the patient requires a return to the operating room, add an additional plan (otherwise, skip to step 7):
- Locate the Postop Retinal Detachment diagnosis you just added and tap Add Plans.
- Select the plan of Counseling, Post Op Retinal Detachment Surgery and tap Save.
- Locate the Counseling, Post Op Retinal Detachment Surgery plan you just added and tap Resume.
- On the Details tab, select the applicable option from the Quality 384 drop-down.
- Tap Done.
- Document the rest of the visit and Finalize.
If the patient does not require a return to the operating room, the patient will automatically be favorable.
