Creating Glyphs on the iPad

You can use glyphs to create drawings. The drawings can be stored in the visit note. When you place a glyph, it automatically backfills the visit note with the abnormal finding(s) you're documenting.

To create glyphs

  1. Access the Ocular Exam Room.
  2. Tap Glyph Tools on the right side of the screen.
  3. Select the type of drawing you want to create.

You can only use each type of drawing once per day per patient exam. For example, you can create a drawing using the external drawing and a separate drawing using the fundus drawing in the same patient exam on the same day, but you cannot create two drawings using the external drawing in the same patient exam on the same day.

  4. From the Plans tab, select the Plan that you want to use.
  5. Tap the location on the Eye diagram where the disease is present.

The Glyph Slider appears and allows you to scale and rotate the location of the condition.
