Signing the Consent on the iPad

From the patient’s chart or from within the patient visit, you can view your available consent forms, edit a consent form, and have a patient sign a consent.

To sign the patient consent

  1. Access the patient chart or the patient overview screen.
  2. Tap More.
  3. Tap Consents.

The Select Consent(s) window shows the available provider-specific and practice-wide consents.

  4. Select the consents you want the patient to sign.
  5. Tap Sign Consent(s).

  6. Tap Sign Form.
  7. Have the patient sign the consents.
  8. Have the witness sign the consent. A witness can be a family member or staff member.

  9. Tap Done when the patient and witness have finished signing.
  10. Tap Save to save the signed consents.
