Editing the Patient’s Care Team on the iPad

You can document the names of external doctors who provide care to the patient, including a primary care, physician, comanaging provider, and other care team members. You'll only be able to document physicians who are already on your list of referral contacts. To add a referral contact, click Manage referrals. For more information, see Managing Referral Contacts.

A green bubble with the letter "C" next to the patient's name in the action bar indicates the patient is comanaged. The care team names and contact information appear on the patient data summary when you tap the patient’s name in the action bar.

To document the care team in the iPad app

  1. Open the patient's chart.
  2. Tap the More action bar icon and select Edit Patient.
  3. Tap the Practice Data tab.
  4. Swipe up until you see the Referring Providers section.
  5. Enter the providers' names in the Primary Care Provider (PCP), Referring Provider, Comanaging Provider, and Care Team Member as needed.

  6. Tap Save and tap Done.
