Viewing Refraction History and Importing Refractions in the Detailed Visit Overview (iPad)

You can quickly view the patient's past refraction data from any of the refraction, contact lens, and eyeglass screens. Additionally, you can import any of these past refractions into the current visit and then adjust any numbers that may have changed.

What do you want to do?

  1. Open the Vision Exam screen. To learn how, go to Opening the Vision Exam in the Detailed Visit Overview (iPad).
  2. Tap any one of the following tabs:
    • Auto Refraction (ARx)
    • Wearing (WRx)
    • Refractions (MRx/CRx)
    • Contact Lens
  3. Tap the Add button (e.g., Add Refraction, Add Eyeglasses, add Specialty CL).
  4. Tap View/Import Refraction Hx.

    The Refraction History screen opens.

  5. Select the Glasses, Soft CL, or RGP/Hybrid CL tab depending on the refractions you want to see.
The process below only applies to prescriptions of the same type (previous eyeglass prescriptions can be imported into a new refraction for eyeglasses).   1. Open a visit and view refraction history. To learn how, go to View Refraction History.
  2. Select a refraction and tap Import.

    The refraction is imported into the refractions, contact lenses, or eyeglasses screen.

  3. Edit the refraction as needed and tap Save.

  2. Tap the Contact Lens tab.
  3. Tap Add Contact Lens.
  4. Select options from the Product Manufacturer and Series drop down menus.
  5. Tap Spec Rx Import.
  6. Tap Save and Send when finished.
