Opening and Viewing Patient Visits in the iPhone App

You cannot create a new visit in the iPhone app, but you can open visits that were created and documented in the iPad app and web application.

What do you want to do?

  1. Open the iPhone app.
  2. Locate the visit in the Agenda screen and then tap the visit.

    The Agenda displays today's visits by default. Tap the (calendar) to choose a different visit date as needed.

    The Agenda is the first screen you see after logging into the iPhone app. If you navigated away, you can return to the agenda by tapping the Agenda tab.

If the visit isn't listed in the Agenda, you can search for the patient and open the visit from the patient's chart.

  1. Open the iPhone app.
  2. Tap the Visits tab.
  3. Search for the patient by typing the first few letters of their name and then selecting their name from the list.

    The patient's chart opens.

  4. Tap Visits.
  5. Select the visit from the list.

    The Encompass iPhone app displays a mostly view-only version of the patient's visit.

    While the visit is mostly view only within the iPhone app, you can tap Add Additional Visit Notes to enter free-form text notes to the visit. You can also tap the CC/HPI Other link to add a preliminary chief complaint.
