Setting the EPCS PIN Expiration Interval

You can set your practice’s EPCS PIN expiration policy. Providers will be required to create a new PIN after the expiration period ends.

  1. Log in to the Encompass web application as an administrator.
  2. Locate and expand the Password Policy card.

    The card displays the current password requirements.

  3. Click EPCS Policy Settings.

    The EPCS Policy Settings window opens. The default Time Frame is 365 days.

  4. Enter the interval in which providers are required to create a new PIN in the Time Frame text box.

    Enter the number of days between 7 and 365.

  5. Click Save.
