Deactivating Providers

Although you cannot delete a provider, you can deactivate a provider so the provider no longer appears in search results and throughout the system.

When you deactivate a provider:

  • All patients assigned to the provider are automatically reassigned to the company owner.
  • You must reschedule or move any appointments currently on the provider's schedule to another provider.
    You cannot deactivate a provider who is also a company owner.

To deactivate a provider:

  1. Open Administration.
  2. On the top menu bar in Administration, click Resources and select Provider Setup.
  3. Search for and select the provider you want to deactivate.
  4. Deselect the Active check box.
  5. Click Save.
