Setting Up Company Scheduler Preferences
- On the Encompass home screen, click Administration.
The Company: Setup screen opens.
- From the top menu bar, click Preferences and select Patient.
The Patient Configurations screen opens.
- In the Auto Confirm Appointment in Advance text box. record the number of days prior to an appointment date that appointments are automatically confirmed when scheduled.
If you enter 0, appointments will always have to be manually confirmed.
If you enter 1, appointments created on the same day on which they are scheduled will automatically be marked as confirmed.
If you enter 2 or leave the text box blank, appointments created for today and tomorrow’s dates will automatically be marked as confirmed. This is the default option.
If you enter 3, appointments created for today, tomorrow, and the following day’s dates will be marked as confirmed.
Appointments scheduled for a time period greater than the number in the text box will be marked as scheduled when they are created and will have to be manually confirmed as needed.
- Click Save.
