Setting Up Discount Types for Item Types

You can select the types of discounts that you want to allow for each item type.

You cannot create or delete item types.
  1. From the menu, select Products & Services and then Item Types.
  2. To allow item types to be discounted on orders, select one of the following check boxes next to the item type:
    • Allow Global Discount. Select this check box if you want an item type to be included in the calculation of a global discount on orders. For example, if you have four item types on an order and allow global discounts on all four item types, then all four item types will be discounted. If you allow global discounts on only three of the item types on the order, then one of the item types will be excluded from the discount.
    • Allow Line Discount. Select this check box if you want to allow the item type to be discounted on line items on orders.
  3. Click Save.

    To revert your selections to the last saved selections, click Revert.
