Copying Claims

Claims Management offers you the ability to copy claims. When you copy a claim, the new claim will have a new claim number.

  1. On the top menu bar in Encompass, click Claim Management and select Claim Management.

    The claim search screen opens.

  2. Enter search criteria in any of the fields and click Search.
  3. Locate the claim in the search results and click the Claim # link.

    The Claim Detail screen opens.

  4. From the Actions drop-down list, select Copy Claim.

    The line items are copied to a new claim, and the claim is automatically assigned the status On Hold.
