Copying Claims
Claims Management offers you the ability to copy claims. When you copy a claim, the new claim will have a new claim number.
- On the top menu bar in Encompass, click Claim Management and select Claim Management.
The claim search screen opens.
- Enter search criteria in any of the fields and click Search.

Locate the claim in the search results and click the Claim # link.
The Claim Detail screen opens.
- From the Actions drop-down list, select Copy Claim.
The line items are copied to a new claim, and the claim is automatically assigned the status On Hold.
