Setting Up HDR-Mate

The Huvitz software was previously called CDR-Mate. The newer version of the software is called HDR-Mate.

  1. Double-click the HDRMate icon on your desktop.
  2. Click Options.

    The Options window opens.

  3. Click the Connection tab.
  4. In the Connection Target box, select the Digital Refraction option.
  5. From the Protocol Version drop-down list in the Connection Target box, select 1.0.
  6. From the System ID drop-down list in the Connection Target box, select the appropriate system ID.

    The system ID must be set to the same ID as the Huvitz control panel system ID connected to the computer.

    To check the Huvitz control panel system ID, press and hold the Alt key on the Huvitz control panel. Press and release Menu. Press and release Start. Press and release ID. The lower left corner of the Huvitz control panel screen displays a box with the HDR System ID number. Ensure that the ID number is the same as the system ID in the Connection Target box.
  7. From the Port Number drop-down list in the Port Connection box, select COM1.
  8. From the Baud Rate drop-down list in the Port Connection box, select 9600.
  9. From the Computer ID drop-down list in the Port Connection box, select 1.
  10. In the Startup & Connect box, select the following checkboxes:
    • Start HDRMate on Windows startup
    • Connect to port when HDRMate starts up
  11. Click the Data Receiving & Transfer tab.
  12. Select the Automatic Export ON option.
  13. Click the ellipsis (...) to the right of the Export Directory field, and browse to and select one of the following as the Export Directory:
    • OMATE32\DATA\HuvitzData
    • OfficeMate\DATA\HuvitzData
    • If you do not have a HuvitzData folder in your OMATE32\DATA or OfficeMate\DATA\HuvitzData folder, create an empty one now.

    • If you use the Huvitz DRS3100, the Export Directory must be the same drive and folder that you selected when you set up the Huvitz interface. You must select an empty folder on your network that is not used by any other application, including Huvitz. If you select a folder that contains files, they will be deleted during integration and data transfer. See Setting Up the Huvitz Interface

  14. From the Deleting Record drop-down list in the Data Receiving Option box, select Manually.
    Do not change any of the options in the Data Transfer Option box.
  15. Click Advanced.

    The Advanced Data Receiving Options window opens.

  16. From the Export Type drop-down list, select Text (CSV Format *.csv).
  17. Verify that the Create Sub Folder OFF option is selected.
  18. From the File Creation drop-down list, select By patient no.
    Do not change any of the options in the Manual Export box.
  19. Click OK to close the Advanced Data Receiving Options window.
  20. Click OK to close the Options window.
