Setting Up Zeiss FORUM

Before using the Zeiss FORUM equipment interface, you must set up the Zeiss FORUM equipment and software to interact properly with ExamWRITER.

Contact your Zeiss representative to set up the Zeiss FORUM equipment and software.

To use Zeiss FORUM Viewer, you must do the following:

• Install ExamWRITER.
• Install Zeiss FORUM Viewer 3.1 on your workstations. For more help and information on installing Zeiss FORUM, see the Zeiss documentation, or contact Carl Zeiss Meditec Customer Care.

  Zeiss FORUM Viewer 2.6 and earlier are no longer supported.

• Configure the following parts of Zeiss FORUM in Zeiss Configuration Administration:
  • IDs in the Patient ID Configuration window. IDs in Zeiss Configuration Administration must match the IDs in ExamWRITER.
  • The HIS folder. This folder must exist on the Zeiss FORUM server in the root directory (C:\HIS).
  • The DICOM import folder.
  • The latest license files. Make sure that these files are in the correct FORUM folder (C:\Program Files\CZM\Forum).
• Set up a mapped drive on your workstations to the HIS folder on the Zeiss FORUM server.
