Setting Up the Humphrey HFA3 Equipment
Before using the Humphrey equipment interface on your network, do the following:
-
Ask your certified technician to set up the Humphrey Field Analyzer HFA3 Series equipment on your network with help from Zeiss customer care.
-
Configure your Humphrey equipment to send visual field reports as TIFF files.
For setup help, contact Zeiss customer care at 800.341.6968.
The equipment interface requires the HFA3 equipment to be set up for a "non-DICOM EMR." Tell Zeiss customer care about this requirement when you ask them for assistance.
Before setting up the HFA3 equipment, perform the following steps:
- Create a shared folder on your network to temporarily store data from the HFA equipment. The folder must be shared so that all users can read and write to it.
The shared folder should not be used for any purpose other than temporarily storing the HFA3 data. The contents of the folder are deleted at the beginning of each HFA capture. If you have multiple HFAs in your practice, you may need a shared folder for each unit.
- Ensure that the HFA3 equipment is connected to your network with a network cable.
The following topics were adopted from the Humphrey HFA3 Series User Manual, which is available through Zeiss customer care.
