Using Optos V2 Vantage Review

The Optos V2 Vantage Review software can be used only from within ExamWRITER when a patient’s retinal images were previously captured using ExamWRITER and the Optos Capture interface.

Both the Optos V2 Vantage Review software and ExamWRITER must be installed and set up on all workstations on which you want to review images.

Before reviewing images, ensure that the Optional Automatic ID (user can enter or change ID) option is selected in the Admin - optos v2 application’s Application Usage Policy window. To open this window, click Policy in the Admin - optos v2 main window toolbar, select Manage Policies, and click the Patient ID tab.

  1. Ensure that ExamWRITER is open.
  2. Create a blank exam, or open a saved exam for a patient whose retinal images you previously captured.
  3. In the ExamWRITER chart window, click the Interfaces icon, and select Optos:Review.

    OR

    Under the ExamWRITER Images, Drawings and Graphics category bar, click the optomap Retinal Exam icon.

    The Review – optos v2 window opens and displays the patient’s history.

  4. To use the application, follow the Optos V2 Vantage Review instructions.
  5. Close Optos V2 Vantage Review to return to ExamWRITER.
